PASTO initially established on November 11th 2002, with the name ANTERO BLACK which at the time had a purpose to fill the vold of male vocal group in the Indonesian music industry. The group was mentored by Mr. Chris Pattikawa after lefted by Antero Boys (now: Penta Boys).

 

Consists of 4 boys (MELTHO, RAYEN, BAYU, RUDOLPH) this group growth well and they are doing a very good job as a vocal group. Under the Antero management, this group growth well and performing good to entertain many stage and events.

 

Finally in 2003, Antero Black officially taken by Glenn Fredly one of the most popular Indonesian singer. Since that time, this group change the name into PASTO, name PASTO choosen by Glenn, which taken from their best friend Vionna Paays's son which died when he was 1 years old because of cancer. This group finally also launched their first album name "I NEED YOU" in 2007.

 

in 2008, 2 members of PASTO (BAYU and RUDOPH) decided to left PASTO, and now only MELTHO and RAYEN left in PASTO.

 

In the same year, this group taken by Maia Estianty. In Maia's contribution, PASTO became a very popular duo group in Indonesia. PASTO release many popular and hits songs which you can hear until now in so many Indonesian Radio Station even in South East Asia such as "Aku Pasti Kembali", "Jujur Aku Tak Sanggup", "Tanya Hati", "Yang Penting Happy", "Teman Atau Kekasih". Also in the same year, PASTO release their second album "KEMBALI".

 

Another transformation happened, RAYEN decided to left trhe group and doing his solo carrer. After doing many subtitution finally MELTHO found MARIO as a new member of duo PASTO. With the new formation, PASTO released another album in 2011. This new album "PENANTIAN RAHASIA" with anew face, new vocal character and also another fresh air for this group.

 

And now in 2015 PASTO release their fourth album called "PASTO with the stars".
